The body of this pen was hand-carved from a species of tree known as "Snakewood" (Piratinera Guianensis), which is known as one of the rarest, commercially available species of tree in the world.
The matte black and gunmetal hardware blend together with the "scales" of the snakewood to produce a venomous looking pen. The bolt action nib makes it is as much fun to write with as it is to look at.
This pen uses the Parker style ink refills, available at most office supply stores.
